Stop Anxiety Attacks By Asking 5 Questions For Your Progress

No one ever hopes for the time when they’d all of a sudden have their first anxiety attack, as if it was a holiday. Sadly, these events do occur frequently and even take over some people’s lives. You can prepare yourself to get through this problem, and stop anxiety attacks by asking 5 easy questions.

1. Are you burdened with responsibilities? The number one cause of anxiety attacks is stress. No doubt that over-taxing yourself by taking on too much can really drag your well-being down in a hurry. Do yourself this huge favor – learn to say, “No.” If you can’t avoid the responsibilities, then spread them out over time. You’ll not only be progressing towards better health, but you’ll save time.

2. Does anyone offer to help? Asking for help is perhaps one of the hardest things for people to do. This shouldn’t be the case, especially when life becomes overwhelmingly stressful. Be prepared to ask for help with what’s on your plate. The last thing you need is to be too ashamed of appearing weak, or too proud, to simply grab onto someone and ask for their help. Work can go so much easier and tasks seem so much simpler with others to help.

3. Do you have an emotional support group or friends? Flying solo worked for the Lone Ranger, but those days of the Wild West are done. Trying to go it alone, without any emotional support from friends or a group of friends, is asking for trouble. Talking to someone about your problems and getting emotional support can really strengthen you. To stop anxiety attacks, you’ll need to get some support from at least a handful of people you can trust.

4. Do you make a date with “fun?” Forget how busy you are – you really need time for some R&R, a little fun goes a long way. Loosen up a bit, and live a little. You’ll discover a release from stress and an occasion to even laugh. Whatever puts a smile on your face, consider it as part of your to-do list and be sure to make it regular. It doesn’t have to be extravagant, though that works too if you can swing it, but find some fun in your life.

5. Are you keeping yourself physically in shape? This last question can really help you stop anxiety attacks. Many don’t get enough of the right nutrition, sleep or physical activity to be really healthy. Getting a good workout 2-4 times a week (even walking), eating well and resting properly can go very far in assuring you don’t have another panic attack. Take care of your body and your body will “reimburse” you, long after your to-do list is a relic of history.
