These days, there are lots of things and daily occurrences that could sometimes be stressful and terribly frustrating in your life. There are a lot of causes of stress; it could be stress from work, or from school. You can also feel stress with the people that you cope with every day.

Similarly, you may also feel stress in some little and not so critical matters that you bump into in your daily existance, like being stuck in a traffic jam, dealing with deadlines at work or college and even in just getting coffee from a coffee machine if you are having a difficult time anyway. See, all these may cause stress in your life, but if you understand how to cope with stress, you will no longer suffer much from any of these.

According to a counsellor who specializes in stress, stress can sometimes be very helpful in making somebody more productive. For instance, you know that you have a lot of work to do, so this type of stress will motivate you to try hard to finish all the work that was allotted to you. But on the other hand, if you have too much stress and you are not able to cope with it or the if the stress has caused a disturbance within your daily life, then it may be considered a stress disorder.

Once stress has become a disorder or a dysfunction to your activities of daily living, then it’s a smart move that you visit a counsellor who focuses on stress and stress related afflictions.
