Pressure sucks. However life is only getting further and further stressful. Zen gardens can aid. Stress is dealt with in many different ways by many different people. This post will let you know about zen gardens, a way that works, regardless of what your circumstance. What also helps is that it looks extremely beautiful.
The idea is an organized space for relaxing. It is a common misconception that monks mediate in these gardens. They essentially meditate in front of a wall. Zen gardens are made up of gravel or sand that appears like water, rocks and plants, It is irrelevant that it seriously isn’t Buddhist an clean space means relaxation. It is an oasis of calm in an otherwise outrageous world. I will now tell you how to create one.
1) Area selection – It shouldn’t be too shaded. IT also doesn’t really have to be a big area, more often than not small zen gardens work well. Better in fact.
2) Light colored wood works well when creating the sand or gravel baths. Necessary. You can also use metal or rock but I think light colored wood really has the advantage
3) The final thing you wish is weeds and things growing up through the sand or gravel. To prevent weeds and such a superior plastic ground sheet must be laid before putting down any gravel or sand.
4) Fill out the gravel and sand baths. Make certain that it is even.
5) Find some rocks for visual stimulation. It doesn’t matter what they appear like just so long as you like them. You could also put in some statues. Don’t put in too much though.
6) Rake the sand or gravel. May seem straightforward but that is the whole purpose. You make the sand seem like the ripples of water.
7) Get a water fountain or water feature. Not a significant elaborately designed one. Just a basic one so you can hear water as you kick back.
Depending on how much place you have you have to have some furniture. A bench set would be nice. Just make certain that it is extremely comfortable. This is all about minimalist ideas though so keep it easy
9) Place some flowers. Great smelling flowers like lavender are best.
10) Enjoy
It may sound basic but this could take time. It will easily be worth every penny in the end. Once it is ready zen gardens are really low routine maintenance. That is the whole point of them really. Less time weeding more hours relaxing.
